Gael King

Field Underwriting Facilitator 

Gael King joined Baird Financial Group in the fall of 2011. Her guidance and assurances to our new physicians include field underwriting, ordering exams and labs, receiving and submitting financial documents, as well as requesting medical records and/or attending physician statements when necessary. In addition, she updates the physicians regarding their underwriting status weekly to ensure that the process is moving along smoothly and without error. Gael guides them from the establishment of commitment until the underwriting measures are fulfilled.

Being that our services are almost exclusively provided to physicians, she is absolutely aware and recognizes how limited our physicians time is concerning their busy schedules. Because of this, Gael assists them in attaining the underwriting outcome and decision as expeditiously as possible.
In the 90’s, Gael was a State of Florida Department of Labor employee in Key West; tasked with creating a pathway out of the cycle of dependency for welfare recipients’ (Welfare to Work Program). With child care being the largest obstacle for employment, she also worked for the Federal Head Start Program establishing Head Start Programs for needy children in 13 existing day care centers from Key Largo to Key West.

Gael currently resides in Florida, which she adores as she greatly enjoys the beach and has always aspired to living near one. For relaxation, Gael loves the theater, is active in animal rescue, and also owns her own business, Mobile Dog Grooming, which she devotes her time to when not working at Baird Financial Group.
